As humans, we are built for connection. Researchers have found that the quality of our relationships directly impacts our overall quality of life! I work with couples who are stuck fighting the same arguments. They’re disconnected, frustrated, feeling hopeless, and desperately want to see something change. This is not how they’ve envisioned the rest of their lives.
Couples therapy requires time, patience, and a lot of hard work. Couples who benefit the most from therapy are able to commit to weekly sessions because they understand and believe that their time and work is a direct investment in the health of their relationship. Sometimes a couple will realize that they are healthier apart than together. This is not a failure but a willingness for both parties to accept reality. I would love to help you navigate those decisions.
In our sessions, couples can identify and disrupt unhealthy and unproductive interactions. Couples experience a safe, neutral space to identify deep-seated concerns and practice a new way of connecting. If there’s something you’ve wanted to say to your partner but don’t quite have the words, I will help you find them. If you’re trying to change a bad habit that’s harming your relationship, we will work together to problem-solve your barriers. Some of my niche couple specialties include interfaith, interracial, and couples in ministry.
If your relationships need some TLC, I’d love to work with you. I provide couples counseling and relationship counseling in Carrollton, Texas.
